Beef Burger with Avo Smash

The smashed avocado is really what makes these burgers.
Ingredients
- 450g beef mince
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp Tabasco sauce
- 1⁄4 tsp dried thyme
- 4 slices cheese
- 4 sesame bread rolls, split, toasted
- 1 red pepper, sliced
- 2 avocados
- 60g baby spinach
- salt and freshly ground black pepper
Method
Step 1
Season the beef mince with the Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco, thyme, salt and pepper. Lightly toss with a fork to combine. Then, begin to form 4 palm sized beef patties.
Step 2
Prepare the grill pan. When it is hot enough, place the beef patty on the pan and grill for 4-5 minutes on each side or until desired doneness. On the last minute, add a slice if cheese on each patty and let it melt.
Step 3
Meanwhile, mash the avocado and season with salt and pepper. Add a little spice if desired.
Step 4
When it’s done, layer the bottom half of the bun with the avo smash, beef patty, red pepper and baby spinach. Top it off with the top of the bun and serve.
