- 500ml beef stock
- 2 onions, sliced

- 200g strips bacon or ham, cut in 1 cm pieces
- 1 bay leaf
- Fresh rosemary sprigs
- Coriander to garnish
- 2 tbsps olive oil

- 1 tsp balsamic vinegar
- Couple of tablespoons plain flour
