- 110g butter
- 110g chocolate, milk or dark
- 225g caster sugar
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 110g plain flour, sifted
- 1⁄2 tsp baking powder
- 110g mixed nuts, chopped (such as brazils, pecans, cashews and macadamias)
- pinch of salt
Grease a 18cm by 30cm shallow tray, and preheat the oven to 180°C.
Break up the chocolate into a bowl and add the butter, melting over a pot of gently simmering water.
Once melted, take off the heat and mix in the remaining ingredients.
Pour into the tray and bake in the oven for half an hour.
Leave to cool before cutting into squares.
