Ingredients
- 60g butter
- 115g golden syrup
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons caster sugar
- 185g plain flour
- 3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Method
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200°C.
Step 2
Mix the butter, golden syrup and sugar in a medium heavy-based pan, stir over low heat until the butter is melted. Let it cool for 5 minutes.
Step 3
Stir in the plain flour and the ground cinnamon. Roll rounded teaspoons of the mixture into balls and place about 2cm apart on lightly greased oven trays. Flatten with a floured fork until 1cm thick.
Step 4
Bake in the oven for about 10 minutes or until browned.
Step 5
Stand the biscuits for 5 minutes before lifting onto wire racks to cool.
