Nothing is better than chocolate chip cookies, except for chocolate chip cookies dipped in chocolate!
Ingredients
- 2 cup(s) plain flour
- 1/5 teaspoon(s) bicarbonate of soda pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup(s) butter, melted
- 1 cup(s) brown sugar
- 1/2 cup(s) white sugar
- 1 tablespoon(s) vanilla essence
- 1 egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 cup(s) chocolate chips 100g milk chocolate
Method
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 160°C. Grease cookie sheets or line with parchment paper.
Step 2
Sift together the flour, baking soda and salt; set aside. In a medium bowl, cream together the melted butter, brown sugar and white sugar until well blended. Beat in the vanilla, egg, and egg yolk until light and creamy.
Step 3
Mix in the sifted ingredients until just blended. Stir in 2 cups of chocolate chips by hand using a wooden spoon. Drop cookie dough 1⁄4 cup at a time onto the prepared cookie sheets. Cookies should be about 3 inches apart.
Step 4
Bake for 15 to 17 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the edges are lightly toasted. Cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transfer- ring to wire racks to cool completely.
Step 5
Melt the milk chocolate. Once the cookies are cool, dip the underside into the melted chocolate. Place back on wire rack to cool.
