Try using it as a stuffing for devilled eggs or tomatoes or add extra flavour to burgers and wraps.
- 800 grams or 2 tins Garbanzo Beans, rinsed and drained
- 60 mL lemon juice
- 60 mL olive oil
- 80 mL tahini
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 teaspoon(s) olive oil, extra
Blend or process garbanzo beans with the lemon juice, olive oil, tahini and garlic until just smooth. Add salt to taste.
Chill until needed and drizzle hummus with extra olive oil to serve. Serve with toasted pita bread wedges.
Also delicious as a dip for beef or chicken kebabs. Use in place of butter for sandwiches. Delicious with vegetable crudités.
