Moroccan Beef Skewers2015-10-10

- 1 1⁄2 tbsps garlic, finely chopped
- 1 1⁄2 tbsps chilli paste
- 2 tbsps olive oil
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1⁄2 tsp ground coriander
- 5/8 tsp salt, divided
- 500g rump, cubed
- 1⁄2 yellow bell pepper, cut into 12 pieces
- Cooking spray
- 1⁄4 cup plain Greek yogurt
Combine first 5 ingredients in a small bowl; stir in 1⁄8 teaspoon salt. Scrape mixture into a zip-top plastic bag. Add beef; seal. Marinate in refrigerator 2 hours, turning after 1 hour.
Immerse 12 wooden skewers in water; soak 30 minutes. Drain and pat dry.
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
Remove the beef from marinade; discard marinade. Thread 3 beef pieces, 1 pepper piece, beginning and ending with beef; sprinkle evenly with remaining 1⁄2 teaspoon salt.
Pre-heat your braai. Grill for 4 minutes on each side or until done. Serve warm with yoghurt.
