Muffins can be savoury too, give these a try!
- 2 cup(s) Plain Flour
- 2 teaspoon(s) Baking Powder
- 50 grams butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 100 grams Cheddar Cheese, grated
- 100 grams chopped Kalamata and pimento olives, mixed
- 1/4 red pepper, diced
- 1 teaspoon(s) rosemary, chopped
Preheat oven to 190°C.
Sift flour with baking powder into a large bowl. Make a well in the centre of the flour mix.
Add the melted butter, egg, milk, cheese, pepper and olives. Mix it in gently. Do not overmix.
Prepare your muffin tins, grease or spray them. Fill them three-quarters with the muffin mix.
Bake for 10-15 minutes, until golden brown or until the muffins spring back when lightly touched.
Serve warm and split in half with butter.
