Pepper Crusted Steak

A ideal and easy to make grilled pepper steak for lunch.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon(s) Black Peppercorns
  • 2 Cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoon(s) Colman`s English Mustard
  • 2 tablespoon(s) Olive Oil
  • 4 Steaks, about 250g each
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) Salt

Method

Step 1

Place peppercorns in resealable plastic bag. Using flat side of mallet or heavy saucepan, crush peppercorns until size of sesame seeds; place in small bowl. Mix in garlic, mustard and oil.

Step 2

Trim fat from steaks. Spread pepper mixture around edges and sprinkle with salt.

Step 3

Place on greased grill over high heat; close lid and cook for 3 to 5 minutes per side for medium-rare or until desired. Transfer to warmed platter and let stand for 5 minutes before serving.

Step 4

Serve with grilled cherry tomatoes, chips and blanched green beans.
