Ingredients
- FOR THE DOUGH
- 7g instant dry yeast
- 1⁄4 tsp sugar
- 180ml hot water
- 245g flour
- 1⁄2 tsp salt
- TOPPINGS
- Ham
- Cherry tomatoes
- Mozzarella
- Black olives
- Rocket
- Pesto sauce
Method
Step 1
Preheat oven at 260°C. Dissolve the yeast and sugar in water, allow to rest for 8 minutes.
Step 2
In the meantime, combine the flour and salt. Pour the yeast over the flour mixture and mix well with a heavy spoon. Add 1tbsp flour if needed. Turn the dough on to a floured surface and knead for 2 minutes.
Step 3
Dust more flour on the surface if needed. Using a rolling pin, roll the dough into two 15cm circle of even thickness (about 1⁄2cm) flipping over to roll each side. Cut off any excess edges to make a neat circle.
Step 4
Palm down, slide your hands under the dough and lifting carefully place on to a baking tray. Bake at 260°C for 4 minutes.
Step 5
Remove from the oven and top with the rocket, ham, cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, black olives and drizzle with pesto sauce. Serve.
