Scary Pop Tarts

A great snack for Halloween.


  • 250g Plain flour
  • 125g softened butter
  • 70 g Icing sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 dessert spoon milk
  • 2 tbsps strawberry jam (or another flavour of your choice)


Step 1

Preheat to 160C.

Step 2

To make the pastry put the dry ingredients in a bowl and mix in the softened butter - mix with your finger tips to make it like breadcrumbs. Add the vanilla and milk and knead into a dough ball.

Step 3

Split into 2 balls and roll out. Roll the dough very thin and one section spread over with jam. With the other section cut out scary face into squares. Lay the cut out scary face onto of the dough spread with jam to make a scary pop tart. Cook in oven for 20 minutes.
