Smoked Salmon Rounds

Salmon canapés are the perfect starting point for an evening of entertainment and can be ready in just 10 minutes.


  • 400g smoked salmon
  • Your choice of dark brown bread or crisp bread, cut into rounds
  • 300g cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp crème fraîche
  • 2 large unwaxed lemons (juice and zest of 1.5)
  • 1 bunch of dill, part chopped finely, part sprigs reserved
  • black pepper, freshly ground


Step 1

Mix the cream cheese, crème fraîche, chopped dill, lemon juice and half the zest, then add freshly milled black pepper.

Step 2

Place the crisp breads on your serving trays. Scoop some cream cheese filling and place on top of each of the bread rounds.

Step 3

Cut the smoked salmon slices into small pieces and place 2-3 pieces per bread round. Top with individual sprigs of dill. Serve.
