Salmon is always a favourite at parties and these tartlets are a must try!They can be eaten as starters at a dinner party or easy finger food at a cocktail party.
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 226g cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups Gloria Plain Flour
- 2 eggs
- 1⁄2 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1⁄2 cup dry breadcrumbs
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons rosemary
- 1⁄2 teaspoon sage
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon pepper
- 400g smoked salmon
- 1⁄2 cup chopped celery
- 1 green onion, finely chopped
Method
Step 1
In a small bowl, beat the butter, cream cheese and Plain Flour until smooth. Press onto the bottom and up the sides of greased miniature muffin cups
Step 2
In a large bowl, combine the eggs, milk, butter and lemon juice. Stir in the breadcrumbs, rosemary, sage, salt and pepper; mix well. Add the salmon, celery and onion. Spoon into prepared crusts.
Step 3
Bake at 180°C for 30-35 minutes.
Step 4
Serve with finely chopped chives and a small sprig of rosemary.
