Spicy All-Year Chutney

A simple and so easy recipe for snacks!
Ingredients
- 250 grams diced dried apricots
- 1 kilo(s) peeled apples
- 600 grams onions
- 250 mL raisins
- 4 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 inch grated ginger
- 1 grated lemon rind
- 15 mL each ground nutmeg and ground coriander
- 10 whole cloves
- 20 black peppercorns
- 500 mL sugar
- 10 mL mustard seeds
- 400 mL white wine vinegar
- 3 red chillies, seeded and chopped
Method
Step 1
Soak apricots in water for 30 minutes. Drain.
Step 2
Place all ingredients in a pot and heat over medium temperature and leave to boil with lid on for 10-15 minutes. Stir well.
Step 3
Reduce heat and leave to simmer without lid until all ingredients are tender.
Step 4
When ready, leave to stand until warm enough to serve or to place into sterile jars for later use.
