Spicy Orange Lamb and Noodle Stir Fry

A delicious easy meal.


  • 750g lamb strips
  • 1tsp sesame oil
  • 1tbsp orange rind, finely grated
  • 2 tsps garlic, crushed
  • 125ml light soy sauce
  • 1tbsp black bean sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 250g dried wheat noodles
  • 2tbsps peanut oil
  • 200g snow peas, sliced thinly lengthways
  • 1 fresh red chilli, seeded and sliced
  • 60ml beef stock


Step 1

Combine lamb with sesame oil, rind, garlic, ginger, sauces, and sugar in a large bowl. 
Cook noodles in a large saucepan of boiling water, uncovered, until just tender; drain.

Step 2

Heat a little of the peanut oil in a wok or a large frying pan; add snow peas, stir-fry until tender and the remove from wok.
 Drain the lamb form the marinade, reserve the marinade. Heat a little more of the peanut oil in the wok; stir-fry lamb, in batches, until browned and cooked through.

Step 3

Return snow peas, lamb and reserved marinade to the wok with chilli and stock; bring to a boil. Add noodles; stir-fry until heated through.
